Effect of dextran sulfate sodium saltDSS on apoptosis of spleen lymphocytes in mice with colitis

To study the mechanism of injury caused by dextran sulfate sodium(DSS) in the spleen lymphocytes from mice with colitis,1% DSS was used to induce Balb / c mice to establish mouse models of colitis.The spleen index was determined and the spleen cells were collected.The apoptosis rates of spleen lymphocytes and the levels of reactive oxygen species were analyzed by flow cytometry.The results showed that the spleen index and the number of spleen lymphocytes in mice with colitis were reduced and decreased,respectively,and the apoptosis rates of spleen lymphocytes were increased.The levels of reactive oxygen species(ROS) of spleen lymphocytes in mice with colitis were significantly increased compared with the control group.The results indicate that DSS induce the lymphocyte apoptosis,may be through improving the levels of reactive oxygen species of spleen lymphocytes.
